Key Responsibilities:
Managing streams of work within the Patch Program, with specific responsibilities of:
- Project planning – formulating and gaining approval for activity plans
- Manage funding cycles and spend profiles for the individual streams of work
- Managing a team of developers, service support and product management, in a matrix based organisation
- Document processes and support, where required, with the development organisations
- Define and drive project management tasks in the areas of quality control and task management
- Work with internal stakeholder groups
- Drive the delivery of key platform technology stacks; manage the lifecycle of developing & deploying solutions into the production domains
- Documenting evidence to enable closure of Risk Issues
Key Deliverables:
- Project Plans, Business Specifications, Test & Production Implementation Documentation.
- Monitoring, adjusting and reporting against plans.
- Work breakdown structure documentation and management.
- Manage key stakeholder groups in engineering, support and Business line IT groups
- Write and deliver regular progress reports, including managing dependencies, actions, issues and risks.
- Manage financials against defined budgets.
- Manage Program SharePoint site.
- Deputize for Program Manager.
To be effective in this role the candidate must:
- Have good knowledge of Infrastructure platform technology and have proven experience of managing infrastructure delivery, service & project delivery across a distributed systems infrastructure
- Have practical project management experience developed through managing global Infrastructure projects through from initiation through to delivery
- Have proven delivery experience
- Have at least 10 years of Project/program management experience in a major organisation, and overall 15+years of work experience
- Have strong client service orientation, teamwork skills and influencing/negotiation skills
- Be accustomed to working to deadlines
- Have proven interpersonal and communications skills to establish excellent working relationships with a wide variety of people
- Be structured, systematic and analytical in their approach
- Excellent work ethic and passion for positive project deliverables
- Be proactive in assuming responsibility
- Flexible working hours to attend global meetings
In addition the candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a Technology field and industry certifications, although this is not a mandatory requirement.
The Project Manager will drive delivery of key technologies within UBS Infrastructure Services under the Patch Vulnerability program. This program will fundamentally change the way Patches for Operating Systems and Databases will be managed within the organisation and will introduce new technologies and services to UBS.
The Infrastructure Services (IS) group provides the base computing platform and services to all of the UBS lines of business globally. Infrastructure Services is undergoing substantial change in 2015 to simplify the environment and create new efficiencies through automation and simplification of the environment.
A Program has been established to define and deliver the governance and tooling to enable security vulnerability patches to be applied in accordance with Bank Risk Policy.
