We are seeking a proactive and skilled Automotive Workshop Manager to oversee the operations of our new in-house workshop in Berglern. The ideal candidate will coordinate a team of mechanics, establish repair priorities, manage spare parts and stocks, and maintain budgetary control, all while upholding high standards of quality and safety.
Team Management:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a team of mechanics, including scheduling, task allocation, and performance reviews.
- Provide hands-on guidance and training to ensure team members develop technical skills and adhere to company standards.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Workshop Operations:
- Plan, prioritize, and oversee campervan repair and maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with safety regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues or complex repairs.
Inventory and Spare Parts Management:
- Monitor stock levels of tools, spare parts, and consumables, ensuring availability to meet operational needs.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement and negotiate cost-effective purchasing agreements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and implement cost-control measures.
Budget and Reporting:
- Track and report on workshop performance metrics, including repair turnaround times and budget adherence.
- Propose improvements in processes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Candidates with certified training in mechanics, mechatronics, or a similar program in the automotive industry;
- Candidates with at least 10 years of proven experience managing a workshop;
- Proven experience in mechanical repair and maintenance, preferably in campervans or similar vehicles.
- Knowledge of stock and spare part management systems.
- Budget management experience and a results-oriented approach.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- You're fluent in English and German.
- You're eligible to work in Germany, have a valid driver's licence and feel confident enough to drive a campervan (mandatory);
