Consultants will be given the opportunity to work within these streams internally, get certified on key technologies and contribute to Excelian’s open source projects aligned to these key domains as well as work on client projects.
The consultant will have to be passionate about Big Data and NoSQL, with experience of building large-scale distributed systems. We are looking for consultants that enjoy building systems within a team of like-minded colleagues who care about quality and delivering to client requirements.
You will be involved in all the phases of projects, from pre-sales to proof of concepts and delivery of end-to-end solutions to clients. You’ll be used to working on a shared codebase and passionate about continuously improving the development process through automated testing, build and deployment. And while always keen to expand your knowledge you’ll understand how to best apply the tools and technology available to you.
Role/Responsibilities –
Hands on architecture, development and engineering of big data solutions
Leading technical development of more Junior developers
Architectural design of large scale systems
Technical management of project/team
Input into presales and proposal activity around Big Data/NoSQL
Required Skills/Experience –
Significant hands on experience and/or engineering experience using at least one of the following technologies: Hadoop (HDFS & MapReduce, Hadoop ecosystem), Cassandra, MongoDB, Spark
Understanding of the NoSQL/Big Data ecosystem and ability to compare solutions and put them into perspective when presented with business use cases
Knowledge of a server-side development language (Java or C#)
Ability to work in teams of developers, as tech lead or hands-on architect
Excellent communicative and presentation skills
Desired Skills/Experience –
Experience with data analytics / machine learning algorithms development
Experience in Capital Markets with Big Data projects
