In order to support its development and strengthen its team, our Client is looking for a talented, driven, business-oriented finance professional for the position of Deputy Finance Director. The successful candidate will be responsible, with the Financial Director, for the supervision of the financial team including accounting, tax, management of financial accounts and all related matter such as budgeting, forecasting, treasury, cash management, and controlling
Job description
- Provide value added financial and commercial input to management decision making outside of Finance
- Manage, develop and motivate a relatively large team of finance and accounting staff
- Supervise the monthly management accounts under the Polish GAAP and assist the Finance Director in the presentation of these results to the Group Top Management team
- Coordinate the development of the annual budget as well as the monthly updates thereto
- Manage and ensure that all balance sheet items are appropriately recognized and valued including completion of reconciliations for all items each month
- Oversee the treasury activities including treasury forecast, payments and collections plan, receivables control and cash management
- Take part in the financing activities
- Coordinate the control activities including monthly monitoring, reporting and variance analyses
- Coordinate legal, statutory documentation, taxes and obligations with external bodies
- Improve internal processes and procedures
- Actively participate in the control of the monthly closing in time and quality
- Promote improved financial awareness and discipline within local management
- Interface to the local external and outsourced internal auditors to help ensure the company secures an unqualified audit opinion and minimal audit letter recommendations
Who we are looking for
- Relevant University Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics. Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, MBA or equivalent) will be an asset
- At least 8 years relevant professional experience, including a minimum of 4 years managerial professional experience
- Relevant experience in production environment required
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong business acumen and customer focus
- Excellent technical accounting skills (including tax knowledge)
- Good knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP-class systems
- Fluency in English and Polish
