Responsibilites
- Planning and execution of maintenance on UNIX / Linux systems, including deployment of new operating system releases and Layer 2 (Middleware) components.
- Support for integration of new systems and products, including support for projects through all environments from test to production.
- Installation, configuration and root cause analysis with storage management tools (VxVM, VxFS)
- Quality assurance and acceptance tests for UNIX / Linux systems, standard builds and software components
- Root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable solutions
- Support for Life Cycle projects
- Support for end user linux desktops
- Create, revise and update technical documentation
- On-call support for Unix Operations team
Requirements
*Minimum (3)5 years Linux/Unix administration experience. *Strong knowledge of internet security issues. *Strong knowledge of web applications including Tomcat, Apache, Jboss, Jetty,etc. *Implementing and supporting management tools and server scripting (PHP, Perl, awk etc). *Experience in large Web/DB projects. *Management infrastructure tools (Nagios, Cacti,Splunk etc). *Creation and management of Virtual systems with VMWare. *Experience as Live Ops Engineer working with Game development teams would be a plus *English – required fluent (writing/speaking). *German – optional.
