Our Office Infrastructure Operations team is on the lookout for a Microsoft Windows Specialist to join the team and use their logical mind and solidexperience in multi-location AD (Active Directory) structures to maintain andenhance our Windows Server environment. This involves troubleshootingmalfunctions, developing ideas that will increase the security of our serverand working on our AD to improve its scalability so that it can meet thedemands of our rapidly growing company. In this role you will also takeresponsibility for achieving our end goal of 'Single Sign-On' by implementingour internal tools into our AD. This is a very exciting project which willincrease efficiency at trivago enormously and change the way the whole companyoperates, but it is also a huge task that cannot be achieved in a few months sointrinsic motivation is key for this role.
Requirements
The ideal candidate:
- Speaks English (our company language) fluently. German language skills is a big plus as our AD is in German.
- Is willing to take language lessons that we offer here at trivago in order to learn or improve their German.
- Has graduated or completed an apprenticeship in IT, preferably specializing in Windows Server Client or Network Infrastructure.
- Has a certificate in MCSA: Windows Server 2012/2008 & MCSE: Server/Desktop Infrastructure.
- Has worked for 4-5 years with Windows Server Client System 2008R2/2012/7/9/10.
- Is an expert in Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013 and has a thorough understanding of the best security practices for the server.
- Has 2-3 year's experience Scripting and working with Network TCP/IP, UDP etc.
- Has excellent knowledge of Active Directory.
- Enjoys taking ownership of a project.
- Is eager to work in a lively multi-cultural environment where people are passionate about technology.
- Can start as soon as possible.
