Python Software Engineer
iTalent Digital is seeking a Python Software Engineer. The role will be based in Feltham UK. This is an exciting role for the right individual to continue to cultivate your skills and domain expertise as a Python Software Engineer.
The individual selected will have have gained their experience in a data and enterprise environment and you will be instrumental in helping us continue to deliver excellence to our base of marquee accounts. You will be joining a family of other SME's who have also specialized within the same sector.
You will interact closely with our iTalent Directors, who will partner with you and provide ongoing coaching, mentoring and support.
Description:
Roles: Python Software Engineer
Area: Technology Change / Data Strategy
The role will fit into a team comprised of a Data Architect and an ETL Technical Architect who will collectively design and implement a Data Warehouse to track Private & Public cloud usage. The team is based in the south of the UK along the Thames Valley and regularly meets up in Feltham.
Requirements
- 3-5 + years' work experience in Python Development, Data Engineering, with proven experience in Data Modeling and DevOps best practices.
- Solid hands-on experience designing and implementing ER models, star schemas, dimensional modeling and other data modeling techniques and methodologies.
- Proficient with large scale, distributed systems, data platform technologies, ETL / ELT and data ingestion protocols (ODBC, API, Web Scrapping, etc). Snowflake experience would be beneficial.
- Proven experience with DevOps and Microservices, especially with configuring, deploying and maintaining private and public cloud container workloads.
- Strong analysis and problem solving skills. Can work autonomously and take the initiative to identify and resolve data and technology related issues with internal stakeholders.
- Experience in delivering solutions using Agile and iterative methodologies, working as part of a team with local and remote members.
Preferred qualifications and skills
- Has worked in a large enterprise with preferred knowledge of Service Now, AD, LDAP, firewall requests, private and public cloud.
