Job Description
- Monitor, plan and implement quality associated continuous improvements
- Project management of special projects and events at customers
- Co-ordinate and resolve customer concerns within the area in a timely manner
- Support concern resolution - 8Ds etc.
- Provide and co-ordinate technical quality support tothe manufacturing area
- Stop production in the event of manufacture of unacceptable goods/processes
- Organise containment activities at the customer
- Regular liaison with both internal and external customers on quality issues minimising the impact on the company
- First level negotiation on quality issues includingppm levels
- Manage the quality function within the manufacturing area effectively
- Monitor all aspects of quality performance, zero kilometre rejects, quality tracking systems and reporting etc.
- Provide on-site support to the customer when necessary
- Comply with and champion, within the manufacturing area, all company policies and procedures
- Undertake special projects and other activities insupport of the department as may be required
- Degree level in Engineering discipline
- Relevant experience in similar role as QualityEngineer
- Knowledge of FMEA, Control Plans, Laser Welding andSixSigma/Project Management Skills
- English and German language skills
- Financial Awarenes
- Knowledge and application of problem solving tools andtechniques - 8D process
- Negotiating skills/conflict resolution
- Knowledge and application of a range of statistical techniques including SPC
- Ability to understand engineering drawings
