Responsibilites
- Implement software according to design
- Support system integration and user acceptance testing
- Analyze legacy system code and propose improvements when necessary
- Supporting existing applications
Requirements
Technical requirements:
- Developing in Java+Perl and Shell Script :4+ year; (we can consider candidates with Python, TCL, Ruby, PHP but willing to learn Perl)
- Good knowledge of complex data structures (hashes, etc)
- Experience with UNIX platforms
- Databases: experience with SQL language
- Good debugging techniques
- Deep understanding of revision control systems (e.g. SVN)
- TCP/IP and networking knowledge
- Groovy, BeanShell and Java are a plus
Other skills:
- Problem solving skills;
- Pro-active team worker;
- Good communication skills.
We offer
This is an opportunity for working in a permanent onsite London position. The project is a distributed Information system of the Investment Bank intended to maintain operations for derivatives trading on global markets, internal & external orders management, risk and P&L calculation.
The main skills required are Perl and with a longer term focus in moving to Java.
