Software Engineer
Location: Praga

Main tasks:
- design and implementation of Big Data solutions based on HortonWorks,
- support core projects for company’s research and manufacturing divisions,
- development, automation and running of lifecycle tasks - builds, tests, deployment, infra setup/ teardown,
- write technical documentation including, but not limited to high level architecture diagrams,
- develop Infrastructure/technical diagrams, installation qualifications and validation documentation,
- work closely with professional software engineers and Product Management team to design, develop, implement, and maintain components of the core analytics products,
- work with Quality Assurance to develop test plans and strategies to produce high-quality products,
- work with technical communications to ensure software features and technologies are properly documented,
- provide presentations and collaborate with technical stakeholder on evaluating ideas and improving solutions.
Requirements:
- BSc in Computer Science and/ or Information Technology & Management,
- fluent in English language written and verbal at professional business-level is required,
- experience in software engineering with 2-3 years with Big Data technologies,
- demonstrable experience of contributing to the release lifecycle of production ready solutions,
- demonstrable experience with simple design patterns and OOP,
- clear understanding of multithreaded design patterns,
- proven experience writing user stories & acceptance criteria,
- experience with data integrity, security, access rights audit trails concepts in Hadoop,
- strong and comprehensive experience in programming, engineering, software design & development,
- proven experience in designing and developing high performance, robust, and secure solutions based on HortonWorks stack,
- working experience with Big Data technologies like Yarn, Spark, HBase, Hive and Pig etc.,
- development experience in Java but also using various scripting languages Bash, Python,
- experience with Git version Control System Work,
- proven experience in global enterprise IT environment creating customer centric solutions,
- strong communication skills and experience in engaging with the technical stakeholders,
- experience in creating solutions & developing POCs, addressing problems and providing sustainable solutions,
- excellent communication skills and experience in paring with stakeholders and technical leads,
- flexible to travel across Europe.
