Responsibilites
The candidate is responsible for all aspects of requirements analysis and protocol authorship, specifically:
- Integration requirements gathering and analysis
- Guide stakeholders in choosing appropriate messaging standard & messages
- Map integration requirements to the attributes of chosen messages and design any required updates
- Prepare detailed proposals for the adoption of external standards internally
- Stay current with knowledge of industry messaging standards : FpXML, FIX & ISO 20022
- Participate in various working groups internally
- Schema Authoring – Create, update and issue XML schema and examples
- UML & Data modelling, and Data Governance
- Evaluate industry tools for internal adoption
- Consulting & stakeholder management at various levels
- Contribute to enhancements & maintenance of Lingua tools such as Lingua Portal, Flat File Validator, Codelist etc.
Requirements
- Detailed Financial Messaging standards (FpXML, FIX, ISO 20022 & Lingua) knowledge & experience
- Experience of XML design and schema authoring
- Diversified Financial Products knowledge and experience - Equities, Fixed Income, Rates derivatives, Credit Derivatives, FX Derivatives, Money Markets, Loans and Deposits & Repos
- Strong understanding of various business process due to previous experience of working in Front Office (Risk Management), Middle Office (Operations, Finance & Risk) and Back Office (Reconciliations and Settlements)
- UML modelling
- Data Analysis, Data Modelling & Data Governance
- IT Development & Consulting experience at various investment banks
- Required detailed hands-on experience of major tools for: XML Schema modelling (e.g. XMLSpy, Oxygen), UML modelling (e.g. Magicdraw , Enterprise Architect
- Knowledge of these tools would be an advantage : Schema Agent, Toad, Visio, FIX Explorer, C24i

The customer is committed to defining and implementing an internal data standard, which is used to exchange data between functions. The data standard, consists of a set of strategic message, so called 'protocols', which are documented using data models and XML schemas. This data standard is based, where possible, on industry standards (FIXML, FpML, ISO20022), with UBS extensions as necessary. The standard is supported by an intranet site and associated tools.
