WiFi System Architect

Range of responsibilities:

• Define system requirements for the WLAN sub system for home networking devices (Gateways, STB, tablets, ...)
• Analyse both internet (origination from business/product management) and external  specifications(customer specs) and translate those into development guidelines for R&D
• Analyse and follow-up WLAN standardization (IEEE and Wi-Fi Alliance) report on a regular basis to R&D and business/product management on status changes and important aspects product line
• Act as a knowledge database to R&D, business/product management and customers. Act as an expert in the area of WLAN technology
• Train engineers in WLAN technology
• Conduct feasibilities on various topics (new technology, different WIFI applications, system architecture, ...) and submit feasibility reports in the form of technology or white papers
• Ensure that the system definition is correctly implemented by guiding the SW & HW development
• Provide Wi-Fi design documentation
• Cooperate with internal and external multicultural

Required skills:

• Broad knowledge of telecommunication protocols (ATM, Ethernet, DSL, WLAN, 3Gpp, 802.1x, ...)
• Master in electronics / ICT or by experience
• 3 years of experience
• IP networking, Internet technologies
• Experience in embedded systems (kernel and user space development)
• Linux, OpenWRT, Android knowledge
• Signal processing background (DSP)
• Fluent English
• Technical writing skills
• Agile methodologies
• Debugging knowledge (host, on target)
• WIFI 802.11bgn domain knowledge
